RokBlok Plays Records Without a Record Player

RokBlok takes the enjoyment of playing records from your living room to the streets (and wherever else you want to go).

RokBlok Plays Records Without a Record Player

If you have a record player or have contemplated purchasing one you’ve probably thought about the fact that a record player is quite sedentary. As much as you’d love to play your records as you do your MP3s around town, it’s design just doesn’t allow it.

RokBlok

What if there was another way? Well, there is. Meet RokBlok. It is essentially a little portable speaker that uses a lever to wind itself up and rotate along your vinyl to illicit audio (rather than the vinyl spinning on a player). This means you can literally play your vinyl wherever there is a flat surface. Simply lay your record down, pull the lever, and drop RokBlok to commence playing your favorite tunes. If the mini record player isn’t loud enough, Bluetooth 4.2 technology allows users to pair RokBlok with other portable speakers to amplify the sound.

This party player is super tiny making it ultra portable. It measures 2in X 2in X 4.3in and weighs in at 3.2 ounces. It supports a battery life of up to 4 hours of music playback and 2 days on standby while taking 2 hours to fully charge.

When it comes to sound, the bite-size player reaches a frequency response range of 20-20,000 Hertz.

If you need RokBlok in your life head over to Kickstarter and back the project for $79. Orders will ship to those who pledge in September 2017.
