And another one! Skullcandy has been BIZ-E! They’ve got plans to release a slew of new headphones including wireless buds. Meet Skullcandy Jib Wireless earbuds.
Meet New Skullcandy Jib Wireless Earbuds
These earbuds are a more simpler version of the Ink’d and Smokin’ Buds 2 Wireless. It does not feature a flex-collar, but rather a lightweight cable linking the two earpieces together. Besides the Women’s XTFree, these appear to be the only other pair of earbuds with a simple connecting cable. This offers an alternative fit for those who do not want any hardware resting on their shoulders.
Jib, being the simple wireless option, provides about 6 hours of battery life. The ear tips are a noise isolating fit so you can hear your bass bump without interference from your noisy environment. The lightweight neck cable features an in-line mic and controller for making calls as well as navigating back and forth between tracks.
Jib Wireless earbuds will be available in black, black and blue, black and red, and black and purple. The cost of Skullcandy Jib Wireless earbuds are TBD in my book, but I’m predicating a price point slightly below the Ink’d Wireless at $49.99. *Update: These headphone retail for $34.99 and are available at Audio 46 and Amazon.
Also to note, Skullcandy now provides a 2-year global warranty as opposed to their previous 1 year limited warranty. The 2-year warranty covers defects and proper function. I’d say this is a pretty cool move on Skullcandy’s part seeing as most manufacturer’s will cover you for one. Way to go Skullcandy!
