Futuristic Much? Human Inc Sound Wireless Headphones

With a minimalist design inspired by the human ear, Sound is a program looking to create the first “truly” wireless headphones. At this time, a number of companies are working to create the perfect fit with equally perfect sound quality, but that has yet to be achieved. The Seattle-based tech company looks to be onto something interesting with their “ear encapsulation” model aimed at preserving and enhancing the ear’s natural process of capturing and funneling audio waves into its canal.

As Human Inc describes, “the result is the closest thing to personal surround sound one could experience.”

Touch commands allow users to take calls, adjust volume, and switch back and forth between tracks. With the use of Simply-Sync, an instantaneous wireless connectivity solution, the sonic ear covers should be able to retain a consistent and synced connection between both ears. The ambient noise control feature gives users the ability to increase or decrease the sound of their surroundings. Multiple listeners are also able to connect to a single device. To boot, the alien-like ear apparatus also doubles as a portable loud speaker with capabilities surpassing the volume and audio quality of most smartphones.

Human Inc is not limiting their body-based tech to music. They are looking to mind the gap between human interactions starting with language barriers, this summer.

“We’re tackling form and utility issues that have not been advanced by the big players in the audio industry,” said Stephen Minarsch, Human Principal Industrial Designer and former Microsoft Wearables Department Designer. “I’m proud to be part of a team and work on a program that will have such a major market legacy.”

Human Inc was founded in 2014 by Benjamin Willis and Joe Dieter who believe the future of technology is only reserved for the most purposeful, natural, and utility-driven products.
