“Storage Almost Full” – We all know this scenario too well. But iDime, a super tiny storage unit, is about to change that.
iDime: Bite-Sized Attachment Maximizes iPhone Storage
It seems almost too good to be true. But it is in fact real! Thanks to some brilliant mind that I’ll feel forever indebted to, iPhone users finally have a solution to that dreadful “Storage Almost Full” memo. I get that message nearly everyday and it is rather frustrating, especially when I take into account the permanent apps and unwarranted U2 album I never asked for taking up room on my device. The price of being an Apple snob is costly in price and storage fees, but iDime is an inexpensive solution to our storage woes.
iDime works by attaching to an accompanying iPhone case with a twist-and-lock motion. This frees up your lightning port to be used for our headphones in the near future (I guess). While attached to the case, the bite-sized memory unit is able to load, anywhere from 17,000 to 136,000 photos or 8,000 to 64,000 songs based on the storage amount purchased. It currently retails from 32GB to 256GB in memory.
Also, coming to the rescue of yet another iPhone issue, the iDime, with the use of a simple micro USB adapter, can be plugged into your computer to easily open and transfer the files to your computer. No more Googling how to upload iPhone photos every time you plug in your phone!
In addition, there is a lightning jack adapter you can use to share photos, videos, and more directly with other user iPhone users by plugging it into their cellphone. The iDime also supports uber fast read and write speeds of 95 MB/s, 90MB/s respectively.
The accompanying phone case is compatible with iPhone 5, SE, 6, 6+, 6S, 6s+ and the cellphone case is available in white, stone, lilac, baby blue, and coral.
The iDime is currently available via Kickstarter in a few different discounted bundles ranging from $48 to $308. iDime will ship worldwide in November.
In the meantime, I’ll leave just leave this here.
