New Campfire Andromeda Gold Special Edition Released!
Built on the incomparable success of the Campfire Andromeda, the Gold Special Edition offers a fresh new take on the original’s sound profile. A deep and punchy low end now compliments a luscious high end. Yet, sandwiched beteween the lows and highs, the Andromeda Gold houses a present and unhindered midrange. Overall, this latest iteration of the Andromeda boasts improved coherence and impressive musicality.
But this earphone also sports the characteristic panache one would expect from Campfire Audio. Cased in black anodized aluminum with black stainless steel nozzles and gold faceplate screws, the Gold Special Edition looks sexy and svelte.
Doubling Down on Bass
Perhaps the biggest addition to the classic Andromeda design, the Andromeda Gold Special Edition rocks an additional 2 BA drivers. This brings the total count up to 7 BA drivers on the Gold. Both of those new drivers add to the bass response, resulting in a heavier low end.
Crossed-Out Cross-Over
The second biggest design feature, the cross-over-less sound, results in a more dynamic, unfiltered sound. However, the Gold still offers a realistic sound. Thanks to its drivers and acoustic chambers, this earphone retains the raw energy of the music as originally recorded.
Devilish Details
As with any high-end IEM, the devil is in the details when it comes to the Andromeda Gold, and Campfire delivers. A new smoky litz jacket cable compliments the black anodized housing. With its light-weight molded ear hook design, the smoky litz puts less strain on a wearer’s ears while retaining acoustic excellence.
Additionally, a premium black leather case also comes included, offering improved safety for earphones on the go. This faux wool lining prevents scratches or bumps to the earpieces, ensuring they retain their eye-catching appearance. Sourced from Portugal, the leather cases come from a small team of artisans, who, like the engineers at Campfire, remain committed to the highest standards of quality.
Produced in a limited edition of just 1000 pairs, the Andromeda Gold Special Edition will be available globally on August 20th.
