SlimBuds are Earphones that Fit Perfectly Under Helmets

Update 4/04/2017: SlimBuds are now available for purchase at Indiegogo.

If you ride a hot rod of even a run-of-the-mill bicycle, I’m sure you find it difficult to enjoy music while also making sure you safely commute from point A to point B. Well, EAOS has created the perfect solution. Meet SlimBuds.

SlimBuds are Earphones that Fit Perfectly Under Helmets

These buds were crafted with cyclists and bikers in mid. SlimBuds are flat earphones that can comfortably fit under a helmet. Each earpiece features a soft, flexible silicon ear tip that adjust to the size of the wearer’s ear canal. The ear tip is attached to a super flat housing. Each piece is then held in place by a stabilizing ear hook that rests inside the conch of the wearer’s ear.

Ensuring that you are able to safely, easily, and comfortable communicate with others, the headphone features a chin-mic. And if you are wondering what that is, it is a mic that rests on the wearer’s chin. The mic is connected to an in-line controller that can be used while wearing riding gloves without a problem. This same remote can be used to activate voice commands. You can also attach a handlebar remote to your bike or motorcycle.

When it comes to safety, SlimBuds also have you covered. The earbuds come with a new companion app developed to work with the headphones to deliver a safer riding experience compared to traditional earphones. The earbuds do so by allowing in noise from what it perceives as a horn or siren. In addition, Slimbuds’ ear tips were designed to dampen harsh noises created by constant wind exposure and your headphones. This also protects the wearer from severe hearing damage.

When it comes to sound, EAOS promises crisp audio regardless of speed. If interested, you should note SlimBuds are coming to a Kickstarter page near you on March 15.
