Focal is known for delivering some of the most high-end audiophile headphones around. Their open and closed-back headphones have been enjoyed for their luxury designs and their detail-driven sound signatures. Now, the French manufacturer welcomes the Celestee into their lineup, a new closed-back headphone that follows in the footsteps of the Elegia.
Combined with the latest Focal headphone technologies, the Celestee aims to deliver a remarkable tonal balance, with bass extension and precise mids and treble.
Under the hood is a full-range speaker driver with a 1 5/8″ (40mm) aluminium/magnesium ‘M’-shape dome manufactured in the St. Étienne workshops.
The Celestee provides an acoustic treatment inside the ear pads that limit resonance and improves sound performance. The choice of leather earpads extends the bass frequency response.
With its navy Blue and Soft Copper colours, Celestee boasts a modern, sophisticated look right down to the smallest details. Such as the speaker driver grille or the cable connectors with their Soft Copper finish. Celestee comes with a rigid carrying case with a woven finish, colour matched to the headphones.
The Focal Celestee will be available for $990 in February 2021.
