The Singapore-based headphone brand has taken the attributes from sturdy sports-based earbuds and merged them with a cable-free form, giving rise to JAAP earphones. First, these TWS earbuds are fit with Spinfit silicone ear tips. These patented tips are specially made to rotate a full 360 degrees providing the best fit for every and any size and shape ear canal. The material and swiveling design create a deep and tight seal for better sound isolation and comfort.
Drawing from sports-based headphones, JAAP Earphones are crafted with an over-ear hook shape which should provide maximum stability. These hooks as well as the rest of the frame are water resistant with a rating of IPX5. Nice!
How’s the battery life? Pretty darn nice. As reported by the company, these buds are able to double the life span of other truly wireless buds and that is because they are able to fit more hardware into JAAP thanks to the over-ear hooks. JAAP holds a 6 hour battery, but can reach an additional 8 hours with the use of a portable charger. Unlike rechargeable cases, this charger is actually a cord that can be plugged into both housings, juicing the buds as you use them. This cannot be done with a case.
JAAP earphones are currently hosting a Kickstarter campaign in which backers can snag the TWS earbuds at an Early Bird price of $50 USD. Orders ship to backers in June 2017.
