The Porta Pro Classic is long still a sought after pair of headphones. Even with its retro style that looks like the headphones could only be played by Walkman cassette player, the sponge-like ear pads still draw acclaim from audiophiles and casual listeners alike. Now, Koss is bringing their classic balanced sound signature to a new comfortable over-ear model.
The UR42i, unlike the Koss headphones before it, showcase a more modern motif. This model possesses a D-shaped ear-cup for a more natural fit around the ear and provides better sound isolation while the ear cups feature soft leatherette pads for long listening sessions. The detachable cable includes an in-line mic and controller for taking calls and navigating through your playlist. The cable is also able to be plugged into either ear cup still perform when daisy chained with other cans – because sharing music is caring. In addition, the headphones fold flat for easy travel.
When it comes to the specs, the UR42i uses high-resolution dynamic drivers to deliver balanced sound across a frequency range of 20 to 20,000 Hertz. The impedance is low, 35 ohms, so it is more than capable to work with your mobile smart devices. To boot, these babies are also covered under the Koss Stereophones limited lifetime warranty.
