How do you raise the bar on an already amazing sounding headphone with active noise cancelling? Make it wireless of course. The American-based audio company has just announced the release of their Bose QuietComfort 35 which is cable-free. The minimalist-style headphones are said to retain their awesome ability to mute ambient noise while improving the sound quality. The “silent hiss” associated with noise cancelling headphones should be “virtually undetectable,” according to Bose. The audio has been optimized to “make sure that music is crystal clear whether you’re listening at a low, mid or high volume,” writes Engadget. These over-ear headphones should be able to provide up to 20 hours of use while wireless and up to 40 hours while wired. The QC 35 looks to be in a nearly identical chassis to its predecessor. The QC 35 can be purchased via Bose for $349.

The wire-free fun doesn’t stop there. Bose is releasing the QuietControl 30 for those who prefer in-ear monitors. The cable-less buds are equipped with “controllable noise cancellation” giving users the ability to manage the amount of ambient noise they allow through their buds. This is made possible via the headphones’ in-line mic and controller or Bose’s phone app called Connect. The QC 30 will be available in September for $299.

For fitness buffs, Bose has also launched a wireless sportphone – the SoundSport wireless. These headphones are designed with a sport fin to keep the buds secure while you get the most out of your workout. The earbuds are sweat and weather resistant. They can also operate for up to 6 hours off of a full charge. The SoundSport earbuds are already on the market for $149, but Engadget reports there will be a few enhancements made – like a heart rate monitor and a fitness-tracking app – to make these buds more competitive among other workout monitors. This version will cost $199 and won’t be released until Fall.
